A repeated request

Improvements require communication. D^Geek keeps saying this, but nobody seems to understand that the format for contributing at MyDLL URTH just works. There is nothing complicated about adding a post in groups, in forums, on the front page, or as an independent page.

So what is the perceived "difficulty" ? Apparently, we need specifics. Just what is missing?

There are more than two dozen members of this site and only one contributor. In fact, of the many members, only three members *ever* visit aside from anonymously. What is the problem? Is there nothing to say that D^Geek is not saying?

References to undefined inconveniences are impossible to facilitate. Be an activist. Define the better wyrld.

Better Wyrlds

Sure, it's different

But we can do things OUR way.

For instance, we can make posts visible to anonymous readers, but subject only anonymous readers to unsolicited, but related advertisements. We can reference books from Amazon and add them to our message. We can create (and edit) posts with a WYSIWIG editor to pretty them somewhat.

We can search content, do surveys, use specially formatted submission layouts … the possibilities for this group are truly in the hands of our group admins.

For the time being, we will not be able to post via e-mail. Sorry, but we sacrifice in the interest of usability. This group, with input from users, will evolve to the level of usability which any real group should offer. No more being held hostage to profitability. It's a brave new wyrld.

Now before anyone starts thinking I control this group's content, understand I only administrate this group while the group design evolves. The mydllurth.com domain is mine; being your server admin is a significant responsibility – one I take very seriously. I'll post and offer guidance when I am qualified, but I'll not get in the way of a good thing.

That said, let's get on with business -- the business of supporting each other.
